What is the stolen bike feature?

If one of your motorcycles is stolen, you can report it so other riders can help watch for it. An active report puts your bike's last-known location on the map for nearby riders, along with the details you provide.

Report it to the police first

This is not a vehicle-recovery service and does not contact the police. Report the theft to the police as your first step. The app can't guarantee anyone will see your report or that your bike will be recovered. See our Disclaimer.

Who can report a bike as stolen?

Reporting a stolen bike is a paid feature for Supporter and Verified members. You report from your Garage, so the bike needs to be added there first.

Active reports allowed:

• Supporter: up to 3
• Verified: up to 10

A bike can have only one active report at a time. Not a member yet? You can upgrade in Settings, under Membership.

What information do I provide in a report?

A report automatically uses your bike's Garage details (make, model, year and colour) and its last-known location.

You can also add, if it helps:

• Registration plate
• VIN
• A photo
• A short message (for example, where and when it was taken)

Because an active report is public to nearby riders, only add information you're happy to share publicly while it's active.

How long does a report stay active?

You set the duration when you create the report: 1, 3 or 7 days (7 is the maximum). When it expires, it's removed from the map automatically.

You don't have to wait for it to expire: you can mark the bike as recovered or cancel the report at any time.

Where do other riders see my report?

While a report is active, it shows as a marker on the map at your bike's last-known location for nearby riders. Tapping it opens your report with the details you added.

If someone spots your bike, they can contact you through the app. The marker is removed as soon as the report expires, is cancelled, or is marked as recovered.

How do I mark my bike as recovered or delete a report?

Open your report from the stolen bike register in the Extras menu. On the report you can:

• Mark as recovered: if you've got the bike back.
• Delete alert: to take the report down for any other reason.

Either one removes the marker from the map straight away.

Is my stolen bike report private?

Only while it's active. A report is deliberately visible to nearby riders on the map while active, so they can help you find your bike. That's the whole point of the feature.

While active, it shows the details you added and your display name. It is never used for advertising, and it's removed the moment it expires, is cancelled, or is marked as recovered.
